The Nutrition of the Gods

By Jonathan Hectoncheires Lykiaos

It must be understood correctly that Deific Masks have multiple variables that distinguish them based on these variables.

  • It is also factual that each DM has its own Unique and distinct character which no other DM possesses.

  • It is true that many DMs may seem to mimic each other by very similarly met standards however, this does not take away from the personality contained within the Mask.

The following variables will be considered:

Physique:

  • Deific Masks will vary from one another based on the effectivity of their physical mould which could range from heavy to light.

  • In some cases, balanced or abnormal physique. More alien DMs will not even have a distinguishable form at all. Those types are usually amorphous such as the Daevas.

Planetary:

  • The major 10 planets of Astrology will be considered (Moon, Mars, Venus, Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto).

  • Not all DMs have planetary characteristics. Some DMs may have similar qualities that are worth considering a DM to consume.

Element:

  • Elements may be traditional, fire, water, earth, and air.

  • Elements may also refer to abstract concepts such as Strength or Fear.

  • Elements such as Dark or Light does not refer to the classification of a "dark" or "light" DM when considering an elemental factor.

  • Not all DMs may have one however, many have a Unique element specific for that Mask alone.

Allotment:

Dark or Light allotments include no moral significance.

An allotment refers to the psychological state and heaviness or lightness of a DM.

The scale ranges from Abyssal to Eluesisian.

The Darkest to Lightest

On classification ranges to Abyssal in the Daevas, Dark Gods, Lovecraftian Deities, Archons, to predatory or bestial in Qliphothic, dark Canaanite and dark Sumerian,

to a mixed neutral ground in Greek and Egyptian which have many examples of both ends of the scale, and finally,

Yazads as the highest example of Eluesisian along with the "high" Sumerian/Babylonian gods just a little bit far behind.

The Watchers reach a gray area when it comes to allotment, which are a mixture of Greek and Qliphothic pertaining to their allotment.

Persona:

  • A DM's persona is largely shaped by their allotment.

  • A persona could be regal and humanistic, beast like, or completely alien to human or beast consciousness.

  • The persona is the personal expression of a DM. A Greek, Egyptian, or Canaanite could be a combination or human and beast, a sinister type of personality or regal, or something usually quite distinct from usual definitions of sinister or regal.

  • The persona is the personality state of the DM.

  • Planetary attributes also have an effect on this factor.

  • Mercurial DMs are usually quick and intelligent compared to Martian which are aggressive and determined to goal achievement.

Culture/Pantheon:

  • Each LHP pantheon has it's own unique characteristics.

  • Each culture houses a species of DM on it's own. Greek and Egyptian gods are close to being like people however, they are both different in a significantly subtle way.

Color:

The meaning of the color of DMs varies significantly by culture.

It takes on a different meaning whether be Daevas or Greek Gods. Many Greek gods have distinct and similar colors.

The majority of the Devs (Daevas) have commonly appearing colors which harbors a psychological trait.

Color is also different depending on planetary attribute and element.

For example, Gold usually refers to a DM based on greed such as Hastur (Lovecraft) and Akatash (Daeva).

No way are those two Masks the same however, they have very similar qualities.

The colors that appear are mostly best experienced by the operator.

Below will be an exegesis on planetary, the four primary elements, allotment and culture/pantheon.

Planetary

Moon:

  1. The Moon represents emotions and gives off the color silver.

  2. Lunar DMs are usually primordial in a sense and instinctual from a feminine perspective (although, many are male).

  3. DMs associated with the Moon can also have aggressive and dominant attributes as well.

  4. The Moon is usually associated with water and it's associated DMs have some degree of a reflective element whether Eluesisian or sinister.

Sun:

  1. Solar gives off yellow and is associated with confidence and fame.

  2. The Sun usually represents balance and stability.

  3. DMs that are Solar are dynamic and include many of the "main characters" of a pantheon or culture.

  4. The Solar element is fire and it's DMs are usually always associated with such.

Mars:

  1. Mars is war, conquest, sport like fighting, and masculine veracity.

  2. Mars DMs are red when they are invoked. Mars and it's associated DMs are always a prominent war god of a pantheon or culture.

  3. Not all war gods are associated with Mars however, when they are they have very specific qualities.

  4. This category of DM is head on and ruthless with a degree in this quality based on their allotment.

Mercury:

  1. Mercurial DMs are gray and are based on speed and intelligence.

  2. The DMs associated with Mercury are multi-faceted and their physiques may range from balanced to lighter weight.

  3. Their persona is usually without bias whatsoever.

  4. Mercury has an amorphous quality as well as it's DMs that may be considered genderless.

Venus:

  1. Pink is the color of Venus.

  2. This type of DM is usually confident yet, pleasure seeking.

  3. DMs of Venus may be aggressive as well.

  4. They are usually associated with art, creativity, and material acquisition.

  5. It's tradition that Venus is feminine however, not all Masks associated with Venus are.

  6. DMs with the Venus planetary attribute has little to distinguish based on allotment as they are usually quite similar in personality.

  7. They may have a heroic or feminine persona and physique.

Jupiter:

  1. Jupiter is blue and is associated with wealth of a high stature and knowledge.

  2. Jupiterian DMs have mostly a balanced physique with some being abnormal.

  3. Some select few are light and nimble.

  4. These types of DMs could take the "main god" of a pantheon or a supporting role.

  5. They may be nimble intellectually or sturdy.

  6. Jupiterian DMs are usually always associated with the search for "higher wisdom" or thought.

Saturn:

Saturn manifests as purple as is associated with darkness and tyranny.

  1. What makes Saturnian DMs distinct is that they are usually always of the heavy weight physique.

  2. Their persona is always "stuck up" and authoritarian with a darker allotment.

  3. Saturn is always stern and dominant.

  4. Some more darker Saturnian DMs may be more licentious in their persona.

  5. They are mostly very hard and angry or cold.

  6. Saturn is associated with the more austere aspects of life and reality rather than the more joyful and beauty bearing aspects of living.

  7. Usually old men and commanders of armies in the car of DMs.

  8. Some DMs with this planetary attribution are "storm" gods associated with weather.

Neptune:

  1. Neptune is associated with higher art and emotion.

  2. Water is significantly powerful in DMs with this planetary attribute.

  3. DMs with a Neptune attribution are mostly amorphous with a very strong connection with emotions.

  4. DMs that are attributed to Neptune are also associated with vivid art and dreams.

  5. Neptune is also associated with "spirituality" and trances.

  6. The DMs of this planet within their respective pantheon are usually magicians of an enormously high caliber that is far beyond casual conceptions of "high Magick" or manifestations that are literally, the level of a god.

Uranus:

  1. Uranus is associated with rebellion and independent thought.

  2. DMs in this planetary category are almost always balanced.

  3. A few of these DMs could be a mixture of amorphous and balanced.

  4. Uranus is also associated with skepticism and rational thought.

  5. They are usually a primordial or originating character within a religion or culture.

  6. At some points, they are also the maverick in a pantheon as either a strategist for the protagonist or an antagonist that lurks outside of the rest of the cast and are not aligned with the main antagonist in any way.

  7. Usually, they just want to make this world better in their perspective which is the central theme of this planet.

Pluto:

  1. Pluto is associated with very sudden and drastic change.

  2. Associated with tireless ambition and extremes.

  3. Plutonian DMs are violent and cunning.

  4. Most of these DMs that have a Plutonian attribute are connected with the Underworld within that culture.

  5. Pluto is also associated with the instant and spontaneous acquisition of wealth by nefarious means and ways.

  6. Some DMs with this category of planetary attributes are cold and have a firm connection with ice and winter. Ironically, many are also associated with fire. DMs with this attribute have a sturdy, balanced, and sometimes "horrifying" physique.

Element

Earth:

Earth represents sturdiness and boldness. Earthly DMs are solid and rational. Earth has the quality of heaviness and muscle.

Fire:

Fiery DMs are dynamic and conquering. Fire represents burning willpower and strength. Fiery DMs are very fluid and quick.

Water:

Watery DMs are reflective and meditative. Water represents emotions and pure instinctual feelings. Most DMs with the water element are either soothing or extremely intense.

Air:

Air represents the strictest reasoning. Aerial DMs vary from boldly balanced physique to quick and nimble. DMs of the air element are mainly very consolidated psychologically.

Allotment

Abyssal:

Abyssal Deific Masks are the darkest of the spectrum of allotment.

  1. They represent the darkest feelings inherent within the Mind.

  2. They have the most nefarious qualities contained within each Mask that are also abstract.

  3. Most Masks that are Abyssal are amorphous or nearly so.

  4. The abyss represents the place were the "outcasts" of "creation" reside. The abyss is where those who are considered a threat to the material universe remain in many cultures and religions.

  5. Cultures/pantheons that belong to this area are Daevas, Dark Gods, Archons, and Lovecraftian Deities.

  6. These are of the darkest of the most otherworldly proportions.

Predatorial

The Predatory spectrum of allotment refers to Deific Masks that are mainly very dark to bestial in an earthly manifestation.

  1. Predatorial DMs represent the qualities of basic instincts and atavistic awareness.

  2. Intellectual qualities in this portion of the spectrum are mainly focused in the ambitious or materially inclined type of thinking.

  3. Broader types of philosophical ideas in this area are based on needs and beliefs of contradicting major thought based on animalistic resolve.

  4. The following religions and categories of these DMs are Qliphothic, dark Babylonian, Most of the Canaanite pantheon, and Watchers to an extent.

Deific

Deific refers to Masks that represent particular ideas that are omnipresent and significant.

  1. They represent qualities that are basic and fundamental.

  2. This aspect remains the same if they are dark or "lighter".

  3. Although, some in this spectrum may also be able to fit in any other category, the basic characteristics of DMs of this area do not change.

  4. In fact, some qualities of abyssal, predatory, or Eluesisian are only part of the ideal the Mask contains.

  5. A DM in this can always be useful in all ways of balance as they are in the very middle of the spectrum mostly.

  6. Cultural groups of this type of Mask are Greek, Egyptian, Canaanite, Watchers to an extent, and a portion of Sumerian/Babylonian.

Eluesisian

Elysium refers to the highest level of the Underworld in Greek mythology where the most glorious of Greek citizens reside when they left the material world.

  1. Eluesisian is the lightest category of Deific Mask.

  2. The Masks pertaining to this end of the spectrum are based on the lightest intellectual veracity and order.

  3. While the Abyssal at the beginning is abstract and vague to casual ideas of philosophy, this highest end of the spectrum is dedicated to the most condensed sense of reasoning and thought process.

  4. Rarely emotional, the Eluesisian end of the spectrum has many DMs scattered around the Deific portion however, the common trait of condensed reasoning is always ascertained by the character of the Mask.

  5. Yazads, some of the Watchers, and the ruling Gods of the Sumerian/Babylonian pantheon.

Cultures/Pantheons

Greek:

  1. The Greek culture has a variety of DMs that portray a single or multiple qualities universal principles.

  2. They vary from the Olympian Gods, mythological creatures, and Underworld God's, as well as primordial and Titan Gods.

  3. They are very good in combinations and mixtures of each other.

  4. They are very close to personhood in casually understandable thought.

  5. The Greek Gods can take bestial visages at times however, their Deific quality remains most prominent.

Egyptian:

The Egyptian pantheon is very similar to the Greek.

  1. The main difference is that in the Greek pantheon, they represent universal principles in a broad sense.

  2. The Egyptian pantheon represents principles in a singular sense.

  3. Many are based solely on elements rather than any abstract concepts.

  4. The Egyptian Masks take the form of a large spectrum of diverse precepts and ideas.

  5. There examples with a predatorial aspect as well and base planetary attributions.

Sumerian/Babylonian:

The Sumerian pantheon takes itself across the entire allotment spectrum in differing portions.

  1. Abyssal is hardly featured at all from this culture.

  2. From the lightest to darkest is the seven planetary ruling gods, neutral and primordial deities that are Deific compared to the Eluesisian ruling gods, and a diverse multiple of groups and singular Predatorial Deific Masks.

Qliphothic:

The Qliphoth is the opposite of Judaic teachings and represents Hell with it's forces.

  1. These Masks are Predatorial across the entire spectrum.

  2. If any other characteristics resemble that of any other allotment spectrum assignment, they always are vitally Predatorial in execution.

  3. Infernality in the Abyssal sense is not the same as in the Predatorial portion.

  4. These DMs also may be either resembling that of human, bestial, or a mixture of both.

  5. They represent concepts that are tightly abstract and well defined.

Zoroastrian:

There are two different halves to these cultural listings of Masks which are Mazdean and Ahrimanic.

  1. Yazads were created by Ahura Mazda as angels while Daevas were created by Ahriman.

  2. The Yazads are angels while the Daevas (or Divs) are demons. Mazdean Masks are Eluesisian while Divs are Abyssal.

  3. Khraftras are predatory animals or insects which can also be invoked with a Predatorial aspect.

The Watchers:

The Watchers differ from the Demons (Qliphothic) in the sense that they are Fallen Angels while Demons are born of Samael and Lilith.

  1. The Watchers take up the very middle portion of the allotment spectrum.

  2. They represent concepts of highly intellectual aspects of basic universal precepts. Many of them represents bad planetary or elemental attribution from an intellectual arc.

Archons:

Archons come from Gnostic lore as rebellious and Abyssal powers.

  1. They are very similar to the Divs however; while both and can be amorphous, the Daevas are ethereal while the Archons are more solidified.

  2. They are very cold and alien Masks that represent completely abstract principles that contradict social constructs from a scheming point of view.

Dark Gods:

The Dark Gods are complete Abyssal and primarily abstract Deific Masks with a strong Nordic influence.

  1. The Darks Gods are compiled specifically from the writings of the Order of Nine Angles.

  2. They represent dark and raw aspects of live and experiences rather than universal percepts or concepts.

  3. They are mainly portrayed as warriors in a family like structure.

Lovecraftian:

Coming from the works of H.P. Lovecraft, the popular Deities of the Necronomicon are Abyssal and are the most alien out of all Abyssal Deific Masks.

  1. Some of them can be predatory in a raw sense of perceptual definition.

  2. They represent the most outer and dark portions of reality.

  3. They have little association with beasts or humans.

  4. There is a prominent trait in each of them that represents universal instinct for the search of answers and raw creative or contradicting tendencies.
